Invitations

Yes it has been a loooooong time since I have been on here posting any crafts. Bet you think I have been laaazy, NOT so. Well I have been busy with needlework and some paper crafts. So here is a really neat idea for use of the Pagoda Cricut Cartridge. The card stock is cut to 5.5 x 8.5 (halved) and then a second sheet is cut to 4.5 x 7.5 and embossed. I used the Gypsy to cut the screen at 4.25 x 7.25 and flowers at 6.11w x 3.84h, the flowered stem was cut at 2.17 x 3.84, and the Fancy Frame was used to cut the easel (4.25). The date and all the information remains hidden inside on a bookmark which is easily pulled out by the ribbon.
The screen was carefully folded and glued to provide a three dimensional look. the flowers were colored in with Copic markers and enhanced with pearl drops. I did go crazy with the stamp pads to get more color and texture to the paper as well. I found the best technique to glue the back was to cover the area I wanted to stay clean and paint over the rest with a sponge brush and quick dry glue. Those 20 for a dollar brushes really come in handy sometimes!

I have rambled enough, I hope you have enough info and want to try this out as well.   Hopefully the invitations to the Bridal shower are around next year as decorations : )
