Backyard Escape

Backyard Escape
The topic was named by the page, Backyard Escape. My husband loves to fish and we have many fishing photos. This layout I love and made using Freshly Picked, Stand and Salute, Lacy Labels, and Plantain Schoolbook . The background is plain cardstock with a circle cut to fill the page; the circle has a look reminiscent of scales so I went with it. The grass is Plantain Schoolbook, cut at different heights in four sections. I glued the grass only at the base giving the page more dimension. The Cat Tails are from Freshly Picked, (I did not have Give a Hoot at the time which has the real image so I made this work) they are flocked in brown. I used Stand and Salute to make the clouds. Color and definition come from stamp pads! We all have them in many colors so I used them, taking some cotton swabs and dabbing them in the ink I went to town adding in extra color here and there. Then I added in the journaling tag from Lacy Labels. My husband is thrilled to show off his skills to everyone who comes by, and I get to show off my toys as well. The best benefit is my husband has a reason to buy me more toys! How cool is that?
